Hypertension (high blood pressure) is not an issue that is usually on a younger person’s mind, however, it is extremely important to be knowledgable about it for the future.
Preventing Hypertension
The specific causes of hypertension are unknown, but there are measures to be taken to prevent high blood pressure:
1. Maintain an appropriate bodyweight
2. Consume adequate amounts of calcium, magnesium, and potassium
3. Do not smoke
4. Limit alcohol intake
5. Exercise on a regular basis
6. Moderate the amount of salt in your diet
Arthritis
Exercise has been found to help those with severe cases of arthritis. The third major component of an exercise program for arthritis is aerobic training. The only way to keep you bones moving, is to, well, move them!
