All or Nothing!

Do you have any idea how many bones are in an adult body??

For those who don’t know, it is 206! Our bones consist of 50% water and 50% solid matter. Our bodies as a unit, are either fully contracted, or completely relaxed.

Variable Resistance Training–> when the amount of weight will either increase or decrease during an exercise movement. The maximum force that muscles, or muscle groups can be developed and strengthened is by resistance. Resistance bands as well as the machines that are on cords, all relate to variable resistance training. These elastic bands became popular for rehabilitation purposes as well.

Examples and workouts that involve RESISTANCE:

1. “Band Pull Aparts” are great for a shoulder workout. Start by holding opposite ends of the band in each hand. Keeping arms parallel to the floor, pull the band out as far as possible.

2. Band V-Ups is a wonderful ab exercise. Sit on the floor, hold both ends of the band and place it around the arches of your feet. Extend into a “V” position with straight legs. Hold this for as long as you can. Advanced: Extend your body by lowering your legs and upper body, then sit up to a “V” sit. Repeat 10 times.
